Data security
The technical head quarter of the engineering office Planungsgruppe Grünbichler is located in Kapfenberg – hosting all servers for network services, email and data securing. The branch offices in Vienna and Graz are connected to each other and with the head office by an MPLS permanent line (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiprotocol_Label_Switching). The high data transport capacity enables a real-time processing on projects from all offices.

 IT security is at our main focus. In terms of hardware we rely on high-tech servers which assure maximal data security due to redundant components in case of power failure. If so, basic power is supplied by an uninterruptable power supply unit (UPS). An extensive backup system guarantees best data security possible because all data is stored on at least 3 different storage media and available at any time. Furthermore additional data securing is achieved by the Grandfather-Father-Son principle (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fvater-Vater-Sohn-Prinzip) to enable access to earlier data status. Finally we also dispose of a long-term archive data backup on optical and magnetic data media which is stored in a fire-proof safe.
